AUTHOR GUIDELINES

GENERAL

Manuscripts submitted to ASHREJ must be original work that has not been published or under consideration of any publication elsewhere. The journal welcomes submissions written in either English (US or UK) or Malay Language. Manuscripts should be no more than 10 pages in length inclusive of chart, tables, figures, image, screen capture, and illustrations. Minimum of 20 original and complete references required. All submissions will be peer reviewed by official appointed reviewer.

Please use the provided template for Microsoft Word 2007 and above. Kindly refer to Template Checklist for Guidance. Each submission must include;

i.              Original and final Manuscript of research in ASHREJ Template.

ii.             COPYRIGHT TRANSFER AGREEMENT (CTA) that can be found in Microsoft Word 2007 format uploaded as supplementary file.

The title page should include the article title, authors’ names and affiliations, organization and e-mail address.


ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS
All manuscripts should be accompanied by two abstracts, of not more than 200 words each, written in English and Malay Language. Manuscript from outside Malaysia may submit English abstract only. The abstract should not only indicate the subject and scope of the paper but also summarize the author’s conclusion along with at least five(5) keywords that could be useful for indexing purposes. A good abstract should consist of introduction, problem statement, results and discussion.

The abstract should be no longer than 200 words and prepared in English and Malay Language.

Keywords - Author(s) are required to provide four(4) to six(6) keywords as the purpose of indexing.


MAIN BODY
The main body of the manuscript should include all of the following accordingly:  

  1. Introduction
  2. Literature review
  3. Methodology
  4. Results
  5. Discussion
  6. Future Research
  7. Conclusion

REFERENCES
References should appear in a separate Reference Section at the end of the manuscripts, typed double-spaced in the order of item referred to in the next, using Arabic numerals (eg : 1, 2, 3) in square brackets.

Style for papers: [Reference number], Authors (last name, followed by first initial for main author, and first initial followed by last name for other authors), year. Title, periodical (in italics), volume (issue), inclusive page numbers.  

Example:  

[1]        Last, F. M., & Last, F. M. (Year Published). Article Title. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Start pages – End Pages.

Style for books: [Reference number], Authors, title (in italics), year, location, publisher, chapter or page numbers.

[2]        Example: Last, F. M. (Year Published). Book Title. City, State: Publisher. 

References are based on American Psychological Association (APA) style (refer to American Psychological Association website - http://www.apastyle.org/index.aspx).

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Manuscript should be written in English (UK or US) or Malay Language and should be between 6000 to 8000 words in length including appendices and references. Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word 2007 and above. The title page should be in a different file than the main manuscript.

REFEREE(S)
We welcome suggestions for three (3) referees from the author as potential reviewer (minimum qualification : Ph.D) These recommendations may or may not be used.


COPYRIGHT
Copyright of articles that published in ASHREJ belongs exclusively to Kolej Yayasan Pahang. This copyright covers the rights to reproduce the article, including reprints, electronic reproductions or any other reproductions of similar nature. REVIEWING PROCESS
Each manuscript will undergo a peer review process starting with an initial review by the Editorial Board members and if the writing qualities and scope are parallel, the manuscript will be forwarded to two(2) reviewers in particular area. Authors need to ensure that their manuscript is meeting the academic journal standard and guideline before submitting. Apart from that, if the manuscript has to be revised, the authors must complete the necessary corrections before it can be accepted for publication.
